The picks by available hours

The honest rule: the balloon eats a morning and books out days ahead in season, the bus tours eat the middle of the day and sell seats to anyone who walks in, and the evening cards fill dinner. Everything else is arithmetic, so the table below does it.

Most bus-tour listings price the vehicle, the driver and the guide. The monuments are state-run and ticketed separately, and the cheap cards say so in small print: the combined-day listing excludes entries, the $19 and $20 cards sell lunch and tickets as options. The private day is the same, its $211.65 buys the car and the licensed guide, not the gates.

The two-day Istanbul trip at $686.94 is the exception, its listing states museum tickets are included. The official foreign-visitor prices are euro-denominated and printed beside each stop below, so the true cost of a $20 tour day is visible before checkout. The balloon is full, or the wind says no

Flights run about 260 days a year, and the civil aviation office clears each dawn individually, so groundings are routine rather than exceptional. When a flight cancels, the platforms refund in full, and the operator will try to move you to the next morning, which is why the booking advice is always the same: fly on your first full day, not your last, so the weather gets a second chance at you. The fallback day that always exists

The private car and guide card sells the same sights with a route you set, and it is the product that bends when balloons cannot fly and the museum car parks are full. You decide the order, the timing and how long each stop lasts, which is worth the money exactly on the days when fixed schedules break.
